Emma JM. Ates, DTATI, BFA, RP, RCAT, CCT is the founder and director of the Centre for Contemplative Creative Science. She is a meditation teacher and Contemplative Creative Therapist. She is certified by the University of Toronto Applied Mindfulness Meditation Specialist. She holds a Certificate in Contemplative Psychotherapy from the Nalanda Institute and a Diploma in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. Emma teaches a variety of mindfulness and contemplative creative courses at the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. She has facilitated meditation and contemplative creative workshops for various clinical, educational, and nonprofit organizations, including the Distress Centre of Toronto, York Glendon University, and the Hospital for Sick Children.
